Welcome to Mäksē Live. Mäksē Live (“Mäksē,” “we,” “us”) is a platform operated by The Mäksē Agency Corporation that helps you discover, host, and manage nightlife, cultural, and social events. By creating an account or using Mäksē, you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to use Mäksē. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement and are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
2. Your Account
- Registration. Sign up with email and password, or with Google or Facebook. After registering with email, you must verify your account using the one-time code sent to your email before you can sign in.
- Profile. To RSVP to events or create events, you must complete your profile with a profile photo, phone number, and city. You may also add Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter / X handles.
- Accuracy. Keep your information accurate. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. One account per person.
3. What Others Can See
Other users can see limited public information about you in the context of events you host or attend — such as your display name, profile photo, and event listings. Your full profile, phone number, and email are not publicly browsable.
4. Hosting Events
Hosts can create events, set visibility (public, private, or invite-only), require approval, add questionnaires, set capacity, and manage guest lists. Hosts can add guests manually, by CSV, from their contact book, from past events, or from their phone’s address book on supported devices. Hosts can send SMS and in-app messages to their guests.
5. Event Participation (RSVP)
You can RSVP to events as Going, Maybe, or Not Going. For events requiring approval, the host decides whether to approve your request. You may be asked to answer questions as part of RSVP; your answers are shared with the host.
6. Suggested Events
Mäksē displays events discovered from around the web. These listings link to external sites where you may find tickets or details. Mäksē does not sell tickets and does not process payments for these or any events.
7. User Content
You own the content you post — including event flyers, descriptions, messages, questionnaire answers, RSVPs, and your profile photo. By posting it, you grant Mäksē permission to display, reproduce, and distribute it within the service as needed to operate the platform (for example, showing your event to other users, generating share images, and sending messages). You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any images you upload.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- post unlawful, harmful, harassing, or infringing content;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- spam, scrape, or overload the service;
- use Mäksē for any illegal purpose; or
- share another person’s contact information without permission.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.
9. Third-Party Services
Mäksē uses third-party services: Google and Facebook for sign-in; OpenStreetMap for location lookup; Twilio for SMS messaging; Instagram and TikTok for optional connected accounts; and the Base44 platform for hosting, database, and authentication. These services have their own terms and policies.
10. Connected Social Accounts
- Instagram. You can optionally connect your Instagram Business account. If you do, Mäksē can read your basic profile (username, bio, follower count) to fill in your Mäksē profile, and — when you choose — publish event flyers to your Instagram feed. You can disconnect at any time in your Profile.
- TikTok. You can optionally connect your TikTok account. Mäksē can read your basic profile information, profile details, account statistics, and public videos where enabled. TikTok access is read-only — Mäksē does not publish videos to your TikTok. You can disconnect at any time in your Profile.
- We never receive the passwords for your connected social accounts.
11. No Ticketing or Payments
Mäksē does not currently sell tickets, process payments, or handle refunds. If you purchase tickets through an external link on a suggested event, that purchase is between you and the external seller.
12. Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or for any reason we believe protects the service or other users.
13. Deleting Your Account
You can request account deletion from the Profile page. This begins removal of your account and associated data.
14. Service Availability
We strive to keep Mäksē available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change, and we may add or remove functionality.
15. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Mäksē is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Mäksē Agency Corporation is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Mäksē.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We’ll revise the effective date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
